Bamboo Airways điều chỉnh kế hoạch khai thác do ảnh hưởng của bão số 3 (siêu bão Yagi)
To ensure flight safety, Bamboo Airways plans to adjust the operation schedule for flights in areas affected by Super Typhoon Yagi.
On the morning of September 5th, Typhoon Yagi intensified to level 16, with gusts above level 17, officially becoming a super typhoon in the East Sea, and the strongest storm worldwide in 2024 to date. It is also the fastest-intensifying typhoon ever recorded in the East Sea.
Forecasts predict that by 7 a.m. on September 6th, the super typhoon will be located in the northern Gulf of Tonkin (about 190 km southeast of Quang Ninh), with sustained winds of level 13-14, gusting up to level 17. On September 7th, Yagi is expected to make landfall in the northern and north-central provinces, mainly affecting coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh. Due to the super typhoon’s impact, the northern East Sea area will experience strong winds of level 11-13, with winds near the typhoon’s center reaching levels 14-16, gusting above level 17, and extremely rough seas.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has raised the disaster risk level for Super Typhoon Yagi to level 4 (very high risk) and is considering upgrading it to level 5 (catastrophic).
By the afternoon of September 5th, the Civil Aviation Administration had ordered a temporary suspension of aircraft operations at several airports in the affected areas. Specifically, on September 7th, Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) will halt aircraft operations from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Cat Bi Airport (Hai Phong) from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Tho Xuan Airport (Thanh Hoa) from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
